Kingdom Partners Global
Kingdom Partners Global is up and running. We are officially a 501(C)3. We received our confirmation letter from the IRS February 21, 2018; we have completed all of the paperwork for the State and Federal governments. We have opened a business account, purchased a web domain and some software, ordered some t-shirts, are working on business cards and have the beginnings of a website up and running (kingdompg.org). We even have on-line giving setup. Its a crazy feeling seeing this come to life.
It has unfolded more rapidly than expected due to the fact that the Allies senior pastors, the group I work with, decided that the best way to run our Naturally Supernatural Conference at the beginning of March was through Kingdom Partners. It’s hard to run the books through something that doesn’t fully exist yet.
A special “Shout Out” to our son-in-law David Johnson who was so instrumental! Without his knowledge and skills, I’d still be trying to figure out how to get this baby done. Please continue to pray as we get everything in working order.
NSN Kenosha 2018
Naturally Supernatural is a conference about discovering the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer. It is also a unity event about bringing the churches of Kenosha together.
This was the second time that we put on this conference; the last time was back in Oct 2015. We had over 300 people attend this year, from 14 different churches. Once again, my friend Mike Pilavachi from Watford, England, was the main speaker. Mike is a world-renowned speaker, known widely outside of the U.S., and it was our privilege to host him here in Kenosha. The festivities kicked off on Wednesday evening where we brought together over 150 youth for The Gathering, a reoccurring worship and prayer night.
Mike spoke and led a ministry time where we waited on the Holy Spirit to come and minister to people and heal them; it was very powerful. Thursday was a pastors’ and leaders’ dinner and prayer time. It was a small, intimate gathering of about 25. The conference kicked off on Friday evening. The Worship Band was a combination of 4 different churches joining together for powerful times of worship. We enjoyed powerful teaching on the Holy Spirit along with a panel of seven local pastors talking about having the Holy Spirit involved practically in our daily lives. Each session ended with ministry times where we as the church were able to pray for one another as the Holy Spirit ministered, this was my favorite part of the whole conference!
It was so amazing to see how gentle and kind God is as He speaks to His children and healing takes place. It was also a growing time for me as God began using me Prophetically in the setting of the Church at large. He gave me two prophesies: one for the churches of Kenosha and Racine, and one for married couples. Some of you may struggle with, “Is Prophecy for today?” My friend Wayne Drain says in his book He Still Speaks,
“Prophecy is simply God making His word alive and real in regards to a specific situation. No authentic prophecy will ever contradict scripture.”
1 Corinthians 14:1 says, “Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.” A few things to help you with prophetic words… First, prophetic words will never contradict scriptures so always weigh them in light of scripture. Second, prophecy is for strengthening, encouraging, and comforting the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 14:3 “But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them.” A lot of people die in car accidents but we don’t quit driving because some people aren’t following laws and aren’t being safe. We adhere to the rules of the road and do our best to be safe. The same is true of prophecy, although some twist and misuse it for their personal gains, we choose to follow the rules and use it for the sake of the Church.
Family Update
Spotlight Koral
The big news on the home front is that Daddy’s little girl is getting married. Yes, its true, Koral is engaged. Divan Van Rensburg was finally able to secure his passport from the English government as he is in the process of becoming a UK citizen (He currently holds South African citizenship.) And was able to come for a visit to meet the family at the end of January and the beginning of February. On Jan 27th he popped the question. Now our lives once again hit crazy mode as we prepare for Koral’s wedding, August 18th, 2018, and her departure for England once they are married. It will be crazy having two married children living across “the pond”.
John & Marie
I was able to visit John & Marie in their new home in February, as I took several pastors to the Naturally Super Natural Conference in Watford, England.
John is playing American Football! Taunton, the city next to were he lives, is starting an American Football Club. So John once again is using his God-given athletic talents. He had a scrimmage the week before Easter. In typical John fashion, he ran the 2nd play from scrimmage for an 80 yard T.D. Hello, England, please enjoy our game!
David & Amy
Are still living 20 mins to the north of us. David is the shipping manager at CPV (Custom Painted Vehicles). And Amy is teaching Math at Jerstad Middle School in Racine. They both work in our church youth group and are leaders in their Home Group from church.
David & Kellie
Are living 20 mins to the south of us. Kellie is at Gateway College where she is working on her RN and David continues to work at The Tabernacle as Associate Pastor.
Recap of “Kingdom Partners Global”
In short, Kingdom Partners’ purpose is to “Awaken the Church to Unity and it’s Missions”. Our three main areas of service will be:
ALLIES - A prayer movement that focuses on the local church and encourages leaders of local congregations to unite, despite differences of denomination & theological perspectives. It’s primary focus is to experience the Presence of God together as brothers and sisters to see Jesus made known through the local church.
AMANI HAVEN - A state-of-the-art facility in Kenya, Africa, that will exist as a haven for girls who have been orphaned, are homeless, or their families are unable to properly care for them. Amani Haven will primarily be operated by Kenyan women. The girls/women of Amani Haven will reach out to their community in Christian service.
RESTING PLACE - Also known as the “spiritual spa,” Resting Place is a retreat center whose sole purpose is to provide an environment for people in full-time or part-time ministry to find solace, refreshment, and space to reconnect. Here, people doing God’s work can find prayer, silence, encouragement and connection with others who are about God’s work.
Neither Amani Haven nor The Resting Place have been established yet…those we are believing (in FAITH) will come! We are excited to get this going and to see what God will do!
We feel very out-of-our-element at the task ahead of us, but we know that it can be accomplished because God has called us to it. We covet your prayers as we move forward and try to bring about that which God is speaking to us.
Thanks to All ......
